EGRET CARING FOR HER EGG, IT MUST BE SPRING!!
That time of year!! Spring time and the nest are being built and in some cases the Egret couples are caring for their egg. This egret would sit for along time and then get up rearrange her nest and check her egg!! Thid was taken at the St. Augustine's Alligator Farm. Shot with my Nikon D300s camera, 70-200 2.8 VR lens. With the light changing between bright sun and deep shadows I metered in manual mode.

YOU TALKING TO ME?????
Parrot at St. Augustine's Alligator Farm. These are not in the rookery but part of the exhibit area and are not wild. This bird had one mean attitude or just didn't like me taking his picture.
EGRET IN TREE TOP!!
This was taken in late afternoon light around 5-6 pm. The egret had just landed and i thought it had a regal look as it surveyed it's kingdom. Then again that was the feeling i had who knows what it was thinking!!
But i really love this image. Phyllis thinks it looks like a painting and who am i to argue with her feelings .Lol. That golden light at and around dawn and dusk is so great to photograph in. hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Egret on/in Blue
This was taken at about 8am in Ding Darling Park in Sanibel Florida.
This Egret was in the water but right next to the shore line and some
rocks. I thought the contrast between the white Egret and the blue water was interesting. I framed in camera and in LR to reach that goal. I like the finished image with the different blue tones. Overcast is a great light to work with . I wonder what others will think about this image.
Roseate Spoonbill Drinking !!!
A roseate spoonbill in early morning light. I love the colors and marking on these birds. In this image the spoonbills colors are complemented by the warmth of the rocks behind it. You cannot beat the early morning light for photography!!
