ROMANCE, KISSES, WATER, KISSES, DANCING, KISSES AND DID I MENTION KISSES!!!

Our third stop on our Romance Day was in Miami off the side of the road. As we were driving, we came upon a shoreline. There are plenty of those in Florida and especially in Miami.  What made this spot great was that the Miami city scape was right across the water from us. We pulled over and after I scouted the area for a minute or two, we all started walking along the shore.

Our style during these sessions could be called controlled candids!! I find areas that I think will work always looking at the light available and the surroundings. I then ask the couple to do whatever they want. It can be silly, serious or romantic. It will usually include a little of all three. I do not ask for smiles or kisses as we might do when photographing wedding formals or portraits. Here, I am looking to capture their real personalities and feelings for each other.

Often, after we have been at a location for awhile the couple will ask what I want them to do. Many times, I will laugh and tell them they have already done it!! The only direction I try and give is be yourself and relate to each other. In almost all cases that is all I need to tell them. That was the case with Amanda and Scott. I didn't tell them to dance in the water or kiss, I didn't need to, especially the kissing lol. Hope you enjoy this images as much as we did making them.

lol Roy I was standing in the water with no shoes on walking on slippery stones lol I was really careful not to fall.. I do like the perspective that being in the water gave the images so it was worth it. Thank You for your kind comments
