WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS STYLES, PT. 3 ARTISTIC

The third style in this series is the 'artistic style'. This, as the name implies, is led by each photographer's individualism. The style can include stylish angles, selective coloring, creative lighting, post processing techniques and various others techniques. Depending on the photographer, it may lean to a more candid style of photographing the wedding or there may be great deal of intervention as the photographers 'set-up' the shot! This style may produce some striking images but in my opinion, it can lead to an out of date looking wedding album. When in just a few years, these 'new at the moment' techniques become over used and fall out of favor for new looks!!

For a few years images that were crooked were the rage, not so anymore! As I have written before, this is the reason we prefer a hybrid style: taking a little of each style to produce what we feel are beautiful memories for the bride and groom that will still be welcomed viewing thirty or forty years later.

Here are some examples of our images using the artistic style:

Oh, Jim, these are all superb - crystal clear and dreamy all at the same time. How do you do it? :)
Glad to see you here!
Blessings!

Oh Jim, I loved that it was so natural. I don't like to see wedding photos that are so posing, they seem boring to me. Totally beautiful!

I think even if this third style goes outdated, I still appreciate this one :)

It's artistic as you said...posed and sometimes melodramatic but the images evoke emotions differently from hybrid :) Well, because most wedding albums I saw have this, it could also make the pictures banal. Okay, so I agree a combination of styles would be great.

I'll be attending a wedding soon and I guess I know which style the photographer would be using :P... There'll definitely be no jumpshot although I wish we could break the monotony a bit :P

I love the images as you made them really soft.I like the poses of the brides too :)
