COLLABORATION WITH JENNI DE LA TORRE

I know I said I would only be doing one collaboration a month. The problem is that I have received so many emails from writers asking to collaborate that I was getting behind, so it was two this month or get even more behind in poems.

This collaboration is with Jenni of For Jen's Sake! http://forjenssake.wordpress.com/   Let us read what Jen has to say about Jen!!!

Writing an about me has always been the hardest thing for me to write except maybe the sonnet I had to write for poetry homework. I always wonder if I am sharing too much or too little. Oh well, no sense in worrying about it now; here goes…
It’s not that I don’t know myself, because I do… even though I am constantly changing as I grow and learn more. It’s just that people usually categorize themselves and I can’t categorize myself; honestly, I don’t know why anyone would want to. Why do we put so much emphasis on categorizing human beings? We are unique and complex; well for the most part we are, some of us are still learning how to be different from the millions of others. Something I never struggled with; I was always atypical somehow, if merely in my way of thinking.
I think if you visit Jen's page you will see that she is indeed unique and complex. If you're new to my page and wonder what a collaboration is,  let me explain! One of the great writer's in the Blogsphere writes a poem or a prose and I try to incorporate my images with their words. Here is our latest and I hope Jenni approves of my choices!!

                             ROMANTIC SAGA

I can't comprehend how you crept past my guard
or how you repaired what once had been scarred

Eagerly I gave you my authentic affection
it was no coincidence nor mere infatuation.

You've invaded my thoughts, penetrated my dreams
made me yearn for your presence so much my
soul screams

Without hesitation at the alter we'll stand
joyous tears bathe my veil as you take hold my
hand

Commencing this day our adventure foretold
Binding undying passion with a circle of gold

Love had its way for we're united as one
Our romantic saga finally has begun

Wow! I loved the way your poem started Jenni...I can't comprehend how you crept past my guard
or how you repaired what once had been scarred....
And Jim the brilliant photographer that captures people's emotions in his lenses loved your choice of pictures for this beautiful poem. Congrats you two! a great collaboration.

I love this "...or get even more behind in poems." Strikes me as a poetic notion in itself ;-)

Love the idea of these collaborations! Beautiful!

My favorite photo from this series is the wedding photo in the pasture with the cows in the background -- your couple must have been thrilled with their images!
