FATHER AND DAUGHTERS !!!!!

I have written this before but my favorite part of photographing a wedding is capturing the interaction between a bride and her father.
That was definitely the case during the wedding of Sheena and David.  You see, Sheena is my niece and her dad is my brother, Vincent, Vin or as we called him as kids, Vinny.  Seeing Vinny and Sheena's faces and the love they have for each other were truly my favorite moments from this or any other wedding that I have had the privilege of photographing.

That is said with all due respect to all the other brides and their dads. Seeing my brother in this situation raised the moment exponentially for me. From the first time he saw her in the wedding dress to giving her hand to Dave and throughout the reception, moved me then and still does as I look at our images.

Please watch my niece and my brother on her wedding day and I hope you feel the love. If you do not then we did not do them justice with our photography.

Phyllis and I thank you both for a great experience.
Brother you done real good !!!! We love you !!

Jim, You and Phyllis did them ample justice. The love that Sheena and her dad, Vincent share is reflected in all the pictures. I had tears in my eyes while watching him cry at the wedding. Fabulous pictures...

You captured a wedding where emotions were real. I loved the done where the father sheds a tear. Reminded me of my own father on my wedding day.
Thank you

Beautiful shots Jim, gave me the warm fuzzy's they did. I would say as near perfection on the emotional expressions as you can get. You definitely did them justice.

What great photos Jim...it looks like they had so much fun. Thank you for letting enjoy this day with them. I do feel bad for 'dad' though. It's hard for any father to loose his 'baby girl'. I wish them the best of luck!

Dear Jim,
sir,
I am overwhelmed by these photos. you've passed a comment on my poem 'O, Dear Shepherd!' (obviously addressed to my dad). I was actually sulking 'cause of his objection to my love and at the same time longing for his warm hug. And then came across these wonderful photos about lovely Sheena and her dad and I couldn't control my tears. i just wept and wept in my hostel room! I now realise why my dad is so possessive about me. I am his only child and perhaps that makes things more difficult for him 'cause I am living away from him for my studies. really, dads are equally loving like moms, sometimes even more, but they just can't express their feelings in actions like we women do!
your photos are worth more than millions!

Thank you all I am really happy that you enjoyed seeing a little part of my family!!

Autuem your comment was very touching to me. As you are aware we who use words or photos to express our feelings do so with the hope of touching one person. Your comment may be the nicest one I have ever heard. The relationship between parents and children is very complex and can be a fragile
one. If my images can help in any small way then I am blessed. Thank you with all my heart.

As I wrote before, all dad-daughters post have a very soft spot in my heart. I did notice that for the most part your brother shared center stage in the wedding photos you shared. I like that his emotions were captured. I wish I could see my dad like that. I loved the image where he hugs his daughter Sheena. All these were precious moments. You are a very sensitive photographer and I like those natural shots.
